"Snack and Chat" with Unity Baton Rouge
Chez Fab Arts and Community Project joined forces with Unity Baton Rouge to provide snacks to the neighborhood at 800 N. 19th St. We met neighbors and gained valuable insight to the needs and desires of the community. What we learned is that Art, Performance, Music, Dancing, Training, Afterschool programs, and general activities for children would be greatly appreciated in this location. Chez Fab will take this into consideration moving forward. It was a great success.
Big thank you to Trader Joes of Baton Rouge, and Public Safety Media Training for their generous donations.
Chez Fab is delighted to annouce we have created a new program to support local Entrepreneurs. Its called LEAD. Louisiana Entrepreneurs Assistance and Development . We've added a Drum Circle to our bi-weekly community meals with MOR (Meals Outreach and Resoucres). We had so much fun at the first one, we've decided to keep the good times rolling! Not only can you get a free hot delicious and nutritious meal, you can also have fun, make some noise, and connect with your neighbors on a whole new level. If you don't have your own drum, don't let that stop you, we do have some drums, shakers, buckets and tambourines available. Every other Sunday from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm. We know that can be confusing, so to find out when we will be there or to sign up to help provide the community meal visit MOR .
